When many brands or organizations are at the point where they are ready to invest in public relations, they often have to decide to either hire a full-time employee to work in-house or hire a PR agency.
While we are of course slightly biased, we believe hiring an agency comes with many benefits.
Here is why we think you should work with a public relations agency (and why we think it should be Olive):
- A team – when you hire an agency, you have a whole team of creatives at your disposal versus one or two people. At Olive, most of our teams consist of the president, a director, an account executive, an account coordinator and multiple interns. From strategy to execution, and everything in between, we cover it all! With the team you also get our cumulative years of experience, relationships and contacts which will only help take your campaign to the next level.
- Variety of services – most agencies offer a variety of services beyond traditional public relations. At Olive, we also offer social media management, graphic design, content creation and so much more. If it is a service we don’t offer, we have a network of vetted third-party vendors and we help oversee and manage them so it doesn’t fall on your to-do list.
- An outside viewpoint – have you ever been stuck on something and you show it to someone else and they solve your problem right away? Sometimes it can be beneficial to get an outside perspective, especially from an agency that has experience working with a variety of different types of clients and campaigns. We can come in with fresh and new ideas!
- Work with your marketing team – we still think its beneficial to have an internal marketing employee and in fact, the main point of contact for many of our clients is the marketing team. We work in tandem with your internal team to make sure that all initiatives are in alignment and working together.
