ASSIGNMENT
WEST is San Diego’s first-of-its-kind multi-use tower, blending residential, office, and retail within a 37-story vertical community in the heart of downtown. Holland Partner Group brought Olive PR on board to secure qualitative media attention and orchestrate a successful grand opening event for WEST.
STRATEGY
Launching WEST during Comic-Con weekend required a strategic approach to break through media noise. We crafted a positioning strategy that emphasized WEST’s role in redefining downtown —primarily known for civic and commercial activities— as a walkable, livable, and connected community. To generate buzz, we curated a high-profile guest list for the grand opening, including media, influencers, and community leaders.
We also emphasized WEST’s modern design and multi-use appeal to real estate media and used Holland Partner Group’s reputation to gain traction with key business and community voices.


IMPACT
Despite intense media competition, Olive PR’s strategy led to an impactful and well-attended grand opening event with over 250 high-profile guests with media coverage in top-tier local business outlets, including San Diego Union-Tribune and San Diego Business Journal.
